Responsibilities for Sr. Accountant
Assist with month-end close by preparing and posting journal entries and accruals.
Assist in the reconciliation of intercompany activities, as applicable, with various subsidiaries to ensure the accuracy of intercompany transactions.
Ability to manage prepaid expense, fixed assets and depreciation entries.
Ensure balance sheet accounts are properly reconciled to support documentation and assist with complex reconciliations
Prepare, review and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Assess current practices and procedures and make recommendations for improvements.
Assist in documenting accounting processes, policies and procedures.
Develop and maintain good relationships with company leaders and colleagues to provide an effective and collaborative working environment.
Perform ad hoc analysis and projects, as requested.
Assist with year-end financial audit activities and documentation
Qualifications for Sr. Accountant
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or MBA preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience (preferably in the Skilled Nursing industry)
Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of an organization
Deadline oriented, attention to detail and has a strong analytical and organizational skills
Confident working independently and using initiative to guide through challenges
Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Experience with other financial systems
