Senior Accountant - Launch Ventures, LLC

Launch is a certified minority and woman owned staffing firm, focused on direct hire placements in finance and accounting.

Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant for a global luxury wholesaler based in Bridgewater, NJ.

The senior accountant will be responsible for all aspects of assigned General Ledger accounts. This includes the journal entry process, account reconciliation and analysis of account balances. The candidate will also be responsible for several licensor reporting requirements and preparing reports and analysis to meet audit and tax requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly Journal entries as assigned
• Prepare monthly reconciliation and analysis of General Ledger accounts
• Prepare and provide explanations for P&L and BS Flux analysis
• Reconcile and prepare analysis of Intercompany activity
• Serve as a back-up resource for Treasury functions
• Assist during annual budget and approximately quarterly forecast process
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual Sales and Royalty packages for assigned brands in accordance with Licensor contracts
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual ad-hoc reports and requirements for brands as outlined in the Licensor contract
• Coordinate documentation for Licensor audits
• Responsible for all aspects of Fixed Assets, including recording of acquisitions, depreciation, disposals, maintenance of approved Capital Appropriations Requests, Fixed Asset Roll forwards, and tracking of Consolidated CapEx versus Budget/Forecast by entity
• Maintain and update Procedures Manual
• Assist with external financial and tax audits
• Other special projects as requested

Work Experience and Education Requirements

• BA/BS in Accounting
• 5+ years accounting experience
• Advanced Excel Skills
• Wholesale distribution experience preferable
• SAP experience a plus
