Senior Accountant at KBW Financial

A local, non-profit company has an opening for a Senior Accountant to join their team in Boston, MA. The Senior Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager & have the primary responsibility of general ledger accounting, monthly closing, & reconciliations. The Senio Accountant will also get involved with overseeing the accounts payable process and Accounts Payable Specialist.

Up to $37/hr DOE.

The role requires someone to be local to be the Boston area and will be in the office a few days each week.

Job Description:
- General Ledger Reconciliation: Perform regular GL reconciliations, including allocations, monthly close processes, and account balancing.
- Bank and GL Account Reconciliation: Ensure accurate reconciliation of bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Accounts Payable Oversight: Supervise and support the AP Accountant, ensuring timely and accurate processing of accounts payable transactions.
- Financial Systems: Utilize Microsoft Dynamics SL for day-to-day accounting functions, reporting, and reconciliation tasks.
- Nonprofit Accounting Experience: Apply knowledge of nonprofit financial principles to assist with the organization’s accounting needs.

Job Requirements:
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
- Experience: At least 3-5 years of accounting experience, with a preference for individuals with nonprofit sector experience.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics SL (preferred).
- Experience with general ledger functions, account reconciliation, and monthly financial close.
- Knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles and regulations is highly preferred.
- Must be detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
