Position Overview:
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial operations of the firm. This includes ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, compliance with industry regulations, and providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making. You will work closely with our project managers, executives, and external auditors to maintain financial health and integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support business decisions.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
- Coordinate with external auditors and prepare necessary documentation.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
