We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in our accounting department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full cycle of accounting procedures, managing the general ledger, conducting month-end close, and preparing SEC reporting. If you are an expert in financial analysis, detail-oriented and have an unyielding integrity, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, you will:
1. Oversee and manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and conformity with professional accounting standards and best practices in the technology industry.
2. Conduct full-cycle accounting operations including Accounts Payable/Receivable, Cash Receipts, General Ledger, Revenue and Asset Accounting.
3. Perform month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met.
4. Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with our established schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department.
5. Conduct regular ledger activities to ensure accuracy and consistency of entries.
6. Create and maintain detailed financial reports that include cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, variance, and analysis statements.
7. Prepare and coordinate the audit process, liaise with external auditors, and manage financial reporting.
8. Comply with state and federal tax filing requirements by studying regulations, adhering to requirements, and advising management on required actions.
9. Prepare SEC filings such as 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K reports.
10. Participate in financial standards setting and in the forecast process.
11. Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. A CPA or similar certification is highly desirable.
2. 3+ years as a Senior Accountant (5+ years accounting)
3. Experience or exposure to SEC Reporting
