Our company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of financial reporting and general ledger structure, and will be responsible for managing the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process. This role also involves working closely with the accounting staff, providing them with training and motivation to ensure that all financial operations run smoothly.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Oversee the monthly billing process, as well as accounts receivable and payable.
Supervise, train, and motivate the accounting staff, fostering a supportive and productive team environment.
Manage fixed assets, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
Use Spreadsheet Server and other financial software to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and changes in accounting regulations.
Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure financial transparency and accountability.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in commercial construction industry accounting.
Thorough understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles and procedures.
Proficiency in Spreadsheet Server and other financial software.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger structure, and the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process.
Experience in managing fixed assets, monthly billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
Proven experience in budgeting and management accounting.
Excellent leadership skills, with experience in training and motivating staff.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
