We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our biotechnology team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting within the Life Sciences industry, with an emphasis on biotechnology. This is a permanent position and is urgent!
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in our financial planning and decision-making processes. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Preparing and consolidating financial statements.
2. Assisting in developing and maintaining budgeting and forecasting models.
3. Analyzing financial data and creating financial reports for decision-making purposes.
4. Ensuring compliance with accounting and financial regulations.
5. Coordinating with other departments to gather, interpret, and analyze financial data.
6. Assisting in financial audits and implementing audit recommendations.
7. Engaging in cross-collaboration efforts with various teams to enhance financial transparency and data accuracy.
8. Identifying opportunities for process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency.
9. Providing guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is strongly preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
3. Proven experience in financial forecasting and financial report preparation.
4. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
6. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel.
7. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teams across different departments.
8. A strong understanding of accounting and financial regulations.
9. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
10. Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
