Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in supporting the Wholesale Power Contract and Rate Schedule A. This is a high-impact role where you will oversee the accurate and timely communication of Member Billing information, ensuring compliance with power contracts. You will work cross-functionally with various departments and external partners, contributing to the creation of a new program, resolving billing issues, and improving processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Bill Production & Verification: Lead the execution of billing software systems, ensuring the accurate production, posting, and verification of power bills and supporting reports. Track, validate, and load monthly billing data, including actual cost data from the General Ledger. Oversee bill verification and coordinate cross-departmental activities to support the billing process.
- Accounting Interface: Maintain the interface between the General Ledger Accounting System and the Member Billing System, ensuring accurate and timely recovery of GL costs. Coordinate any accounting adjustments or procedure changes with the billing process, ensuring alignment with accounting principles.
- Issue Resolution & Change Management: Actively participate in Billing Issues Documentation Team (BIDT) meetings and other cross-functional meetings. Investigate and resolve billing issues, provide answers to Member and consultant inquiries, and contribute to the development of new billing rules. Assist with change implementation, ensuring proper testing and validation of changes to the billing software.
- Reporting: Verify and provide accurate billing data and reports to internal and external stakeholders. Support the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP, ensuring that all power agreements are properly reflected in revenue and expense reporting.
- Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements for the efficiency and effectiveness of the billing process. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline procedures and enhance billing systems, supporting business and operational needs.

Education & Experience:
- Education: BBA in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. MBA or CPA is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of eight years of professional accounting experience in a medium or large corporation or public accounting firm, or an MBA/CPA with at least five years of experience.
- Specialized Skills:
- Familiarity with online general ledger systems
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
