We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in the manufacturing industry. This role is pivotal to the financial integrity and overall success of our business operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of advanced financial tasks, including budgeting, forecasting, month-end procedures, and inventory count. The ability to speak Spanish and the capacity to prepare and present financial statements are also essential requirements for this position. Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, your duties will include but are not limited to:
1. Preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
2. Overseeing the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
3. Performing month-end closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
4. Coordinating and conducting periodic inventory counts, reconciling inventory discrepancies, and maintaining accurate records.
5. Assisting with the preparation and presentation of financial reports to senior management, highlighting trends, variances, and financial performance.
6. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation and maintaining compliance with these regulations.
7. Contributing to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures to enhance the workflow of the department.
8. Collaborating with other departments to streamline processes, improve operational efficiency, and drive business growth.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Accountant role should possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA or similar certification is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
3. Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and month-end procedures.
4. Experience in inventory management and count procedures.
5. Exceptional knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.
6. Fluency in Spanish is a must due to the nature of our business operations.
7. Proven ability to prepare and present detailed financial statements and reports.
8. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
9. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
