Senior Accountant

Full Time | $65,000 - $75,000

We are looking for a Senior Accountant who can help support our finance team in facilitating our vision of youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility for all.

What is needed for this job

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
• 1+ years of experience in finance, accounting, finance related experience, preferably with a nonprofit agency
• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
• Ability to self-regulate leadership in financial reporting and analysis projects
• Excellent PC skills including Excel and Accounting software programs

The responsibilities we will trust you with:

• Supports the CFO and Controllers with reporting and presentation needs
• Assists with financial data reporting, budget preparation and financial planning processes
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and monitors bank transactions daily
• Follows up on outstanding items with account balances and monthly accruals
• Interacts directly with forecasting and budgeting needs
• Fields various request for analysis of programs, accounts, and projects as needed
• Understands, prepares, and can apply journal entries
• Assists with preparing journal entries for deferred revenue as needed
• Cross-trainings for other positions as requested
