Senior Accountant Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• CPA = major plus.
• 2-5 years of experience in public accounting or a mix of public/private.
• Sage Intaact = a plus.
• Strong analytical skills, proactive problem-solving ability, and a passion for sports.
• Motivated self-starter who enjoys building new processes.
• Local candidates preferred, with a passion for connecting and collaborating in person.

Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and General Ledger activities, including month-end close and presenting financial reports to key stakeholders.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Collaborate closely with operations to refine processes and provide financial insights.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, contract invoicing, and accrued payroll entries.
• Support audit and tax preparations and help establish a strong accounting policy framework.
