Specific tasks for the Senior Accountant

• The Senior Accountant ensures accurate and timely month end close, properly accounting for all income and expenses
• Analysis and challenge of financial results. Variance analysis.
• Cost Analyis preferably within a manufacturing setting
• Maintain documented accounting policies and procedures and make change recommendations
• Accounting system, chart of account and cost center maintenance
• Comply with local, state and federal reporting and tax filing
• Support accounts payable, billing, accounts receivable, payroll processes
• Maintenance and development of internal controls including bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Production of financial statements
• Assist in the creation of insightful financial reporting for presentation to management
• Support budget and forecast processes
• Provide ad hoc analysis as required
• Support ad hoc projects and change activity

Skills/ Experience of the Senior Accountant

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related
• 3 years of relevant experience
• Cost accounting experience a plus
• Current knowledge of accounting processes with ability to drive continuous improvement
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (e.g. lookups, pivot tables, data manipulation)Senior Accountant
