Senior Accountant/Auditor - Spherion

Spherion Gainesville, FL has a client looking for a Sr. Financial Accountant to ensure timely and accurate finance reporting and compliance with accounting standards and guidelines. You will ensure compliance with IFRS, local legislation and business processes and regulations in the finance area, including internal controls. Let's get to work.

Temporary with the possibility of a permanent position
Alachua, FL
Schedule: FT, M-F, 8am - 5pm
Salary: $30 - $35/hr.

Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of financial activities, including accounting, financial analysis, audit, tax, credit and collections
- Prepare and process general ledger transactions and journal entries
- General Ledger account reconciliation
- Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliation, and debit notes issuance
- Oversee payment processes and routines performed by the Shared Service Center in Mexico
- Conduct monthly closings and produces financial statements
- Manage financial reports in compliance
- Prepare management reports as directed
- Support the financial forecasting process within the PU
- Implement projects within the financial accounting or financial reporting area
- Demonstrate respect and commitment to the IMS System (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018) taking accountability for its effectiveness and continual improvement
- Other duties as assigned

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
- Detail oriented and work well under pressure
- Superb communications skills both written and oral
- Excellent customer service skills

Education:
Bachelors

Experience:
4-7 years

Qualifications:
- Bachelor???s degree in accounting or in finance with an accounting background
- 3+ years staff accounting in a manufacturing business with cost accounting responsibilities
- Must have knowledge of financial statements, the ability to investigate problems and make corrections, and address inconsistencies in entries, documents, and reports
- Knowledge of accounting and manufacturing accounting standards and the software that reports the financial statement
