We are currently looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Atlanta.
Essential Functions:
- Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
- Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
- Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
- Provide technical support and advice on management accounting
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
- Lead accounting assistants and bookkeepers
- Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process
- Provide input into department’s goal setting process
- Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
- Assist with tax audits and tax returns
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
- Assist and maintain intercompany transactions among multiple legal entities
- Manage and review sales tax prepared by automated tax software.
- Prepare local and state annual and quarterly compliance returns.
- Manage state notices and state registration for multiple entities where nexus applies.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree is required
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting or accounts payable required
- CPA certification preferred
- Experience with Netsuite a plus
- Advanced excel skills
- Experience with accounting close and preparation of financial statements
- Strong knowledge of GAAP a plus
- Experience working in a high growth technology or SaaS company preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines
- Organization, prioritization, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
