A bit about us:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our fast-paced Finance team. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a strong background in accounting and finance, with a focus on the implementation and application of ASC 842, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Expense Accruals, and Financial Statement Preparation. This is a permanent, full-time position that requires a minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience in the finance industry.

Job DetailsResponsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for a broad range of financial activities, including:
- General accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
- Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, instituting and maintaining other planning and control procedures, and analyzing and reporting variances.
- Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Ensuring compliance with ASC 842 lease accounting standards.
- Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for accuracy and completeness.
- Managing and tracking the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines.
- Leading the charge towards periodic financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.
- Preparing and posting monthly journal entries, ensuring all business transactions are recorded.
- Monitoring and analyzing department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Accounting Manager position, you must have the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a similar role within the finance industry.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and ASC 842 lease accounting standards.
- Proficiency in managing the general ledger, preparing and posting journal entries, and handling expense accruals.
- Proven ability to prepare accurate financial statements and reports.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and engage teams.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially in Excel, and accounting software.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
