Job Details:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This is a permanent position that will play a pivotal role in our financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling, preparing, computing, managing, researching, and analyzing all accounting data to provide quantitative information on performance, financial position, solvency, liquidity, and cash flows of our business. This role is for those who thrive in a fast-paced environment, are self-motivated, detail-oriented, and have a passion for accounting and finance.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
2. Manage all aspects of the general ledger, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
3. Perform detailed financial analysis to understand and explain business trends and performance.
4. Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
5. Conduct account reconciliation activities for all balance sheet accounts.
6. Assist in the preparation and completion of tax returns and audits.
7. Develop and maintain financial forecasts and budgets.
8. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
9. Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.
10. Leverage advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel to streamline and improve financial processes.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA is highly desirable.
2. Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
3. Proficiency in financial analysis, general ledger, account reconciliation, financial accounting, tax preparation, budgeting, forecasting, accounts payable & receivable, and financial statements.
4. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, v-lookups, and other advanced functions.
5. Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
7. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization.
8. Knowledge of applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
