Our company, a prominent player in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organization that values hard work, creativity, and dedication. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our financial department, responsible for managing and overseeing various financial functions. These include monthly reporting, manufacturing accounting, fixed asset accounting, balance sheet, VLOOKUP, year-end close, income statement entries, cash flow, accruals, annual budget, intercompany, and advanced Excel.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, you will be expected to:
1. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
2. Manage and oversee A/R, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.
3. Oversee manufacturing accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
4. Handle fixed asset accounting, including depreciation schedules and reconciliation.
5. Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
6. Utilize VLOOKUP and advanced Excel functions for data analysis and reporting.
7. Manage year-end close procedures, including all necessary entries and reconciliations.
8. Prepare and analyze income statement entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
9. Monitor and project cash flow, making recommendations for improvements as necessary.
10. Prepare and record accruals, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
11. Develop and manage the annual budget, working closely with department heads and senior management.
12. Handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
13. Use advanced Excel functions for complex financial modeling and data analysis.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in the construction industry.
3. Proficient in financials, monthly reporting, A/R, manufacturing accounting, fixed asset accounting, balance sheet, monthly, VLOOKUP, year-end close, fixed assets, income statement, entries, cash flow, accruals, annual budget, intercompany, and advanced Excel.
4. Strong understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles.
5. Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
6. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
8. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions.
