Senior Accountant

$85,000 to 100,000 per year plus bonus


We have been retained by a mid sized semi conductor manufacturer located in the Northwest Suburbs that is seeking to add a Senior Accountant to their team. The firm manufacturers electronics for large well known "blue clients" around the globe. you will play an integral role with assisting the Controller to close the books as well as accounting for inventory and other ad hoc analysis reports for the team. This is a great role for a Staff Accountant who is ready to take on that next level or Senior Accountant role!

About the company -

• Accounting team is about 7 people. The team consists of Accounts Payables/Receivables, sales reporting analysis , accountant on the consolidations side, manager and Controller .
• Privately held firm with revenues trending toward $100M
• Opportunity for future advancement and there are a few paths here to move up in the organization. One is more toward corporate side and corporate accounting and other may be consolidations and accounting.
• Company utilizes Epicor for an ERP.

What you will do as a Senior Accountant:

• Preparation of month close.
• The Senior Accountant may get involved with aspects of sales taxation
• Looking for a candidate out of distribution with 2+ years accounting from a distributor or manufacturing firm.
• Preparation of Adjusting journal entries
• Prepaids
• Bank reconciliations
• Will assist the Accounting Supervisor with some light cost accounting (a plus if candidate has some experience)
• Some project based analysis work
• Inventory Reconciliation/physical inventory
