Position will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Reporting directly to the CFO, and will be responsible for a variety of essential tasks including but not limited to:
They are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant with a strong background in financial analysis, accounting principles, and SQL expertise. The ideal candidate will not only excel in traditional accounting tasks but will also possess the ability to leverage SQL to optimize and streamline financial processes within our organization. Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- SQL Data Management and Analysis:
- Develop and maintain SQL queries, scripts, and stored procedures to extract, manipulate, and analyze financial data from - various databases and systems.
- Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial information.
- Identify and implement opportunities to automate routine tasks and improve data quality and efficiency using SQL.
Process Improvement:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks in financial processes.
- Utilize SQL and data analysis techniques to identify root causes and develop solutions for process optimization.
-Implement best practices and standardized procedures to enhance the accuracy, timeliness, and effectiveness of financial operations.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with accounting regulations, policies, and procedures.
-Identify and mitigate financial risks through proactive analysis and controls implementation.
Training and Knowledge Sharing:
- Provide guidance and training to junior staff members on accounting principles, SQL techniques, and process improvement methodologies.
- Share insights and best practices with the finance team to foster continuous learning and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on financial analysis and reporting.
- Proficiency in SQL with demonstrated experience in writing complex queries and manipulating large datasets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
