We have has been in continual operation in Texas since the early 1900s, and manufacturing the largest range of spiral bevel right angle gear drives in the world since 1934. Our accounting division is looking for a strong accountant to work closely with our controller.

Job Details
Accounting Position Duties
Prepare journal entries, monthly reconciliations, and internal & external financial reporting.
Maintain internal control over financial processes and reporting. Assure controls are understood and monitored, including regular risk assessments of controls.
Review purchase price variances between standard costs and actual, research and report findings.
Assist with various aspects of inventory management, including physical inventories, inventory pricing reviews, analysis, etc. Create cycle count reports and procedures.
Prepare budget, forecast, estimate and projection processes, providing helpful insight into underlying revenue and cost drivers.
Pull customer credit reports, references and report to Controller with recommendations for terms.
Maintain fixed asset database and tracking of construction in process, and periodic fixed assets inventories.
Prepare external, internal and corporate financial reporting, meeting all deadlines monthly, quarterly and annually.
Create purchase orders for inventory and supplies based on safety stock, current and forecasted demands.
Inventory control, maintenance and inventory management, including coordinating and oversight of physical inventories, inventory pricing reviews analysis, cycle counts, forecasting and quarterly reviews of inventory safety stock and demands.
Complete vendor evaluations quarterly.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s in accounting 4+ years
CPA/CMA or MBA (or working towards CPA/CMA or MBA), will consider experience
Experience in general ledger transactions and account reconciliations
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines
