Senior Accountant - Mark Spain Real Estate

We are looking for a Senior Accountant due to growth! Responsibilies include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and a thorough understanding of accounting principles. We are looking for a person that works well with a team and can collaborate with other members frequently.  

Other responsibilities include: 

• Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
• Provide input into department's goal seng process
• Assist with annual audit
• Support year-end close process
• Assist with annual 1099 processing for agents and vendors
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen  internal controls
• Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
• Review financial statements and trial balance for errors and omissions  

Qualifications :

• BS in Accounting or Finance 
• 3-5 years relevant experience 
• Experience with LoneWolf accounting software (not required but preferred)
• Real estate accounting experience 
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables 
• Accuracy and attention to detail 
• Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills 
• Salesforce experience (not required but preferred)
