Senior Account Supervisor
Position Summary
The Senior Account Supervisor (SAS) oversees the performance of account teams, ensuring excellence in client service and quality control for integrated brand communications programs. This role combines leadership, strategic planning, media proficiency, multicultural segment knowledge and execution expertise for an iconic global brand to deliver results-driven, earned-first campaigns while driving business growth and team development.
The right candidate for this role is obsessed with leading earned media to make clients famous. You have driven media relations initiatives for large clients, understand what earned-first execution demands, and know how to use a multi-channel approach that results in earned coverage. You lead media strategy, but also are at ease dropping into the details to leverage reporter relationships to help shape and tell powerful stories.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of comprehensive integrated brand communications campaigns.
Drive media relations strategy, including strategy development, thought leadership, pitching, issues management and content development.
Manage account team performance, ensuring client objectives are met within budget and deadlines.
Serve as the primary client contact, fostering strong relationships and delivering strategic counsel.
Oversee financial management of accounts, ensuring accurate budgets, forecasting, and reporting.
Mentor and develop team members through regular feedback, training, and performance reviews.
Identify and pursue organic growth opportunities within existing accounts and new business prospects.
Integrate research and analytics into campaign planning to measure and optimize success. z
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Communications, Journalism, Marketing, PR).
Minimum of 8 years of experience in integrated communications, including PR, marketing, and digital media.
Proven ability to manage large accounts and teams across multiple projects, including experience operating within an IAT model.
Expertise in earned media, digital/social integration, and driving client ROI.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in strategic planning and client presentations.
Track record of successful new business development and financial management.
Experience working on global and/or Fortune 500 brands in a matrixed environment.
