Senior Account ManagerPosition Overview
The Senior Account Manager is responsible for the sales growth, account development and account management for the Home Depot business. This includes developing and leading sales presentations to executive leaders and decision makers, developing sales strategies to grow market share, performing product line reviews, and overseeing delivery of product and marketing material to stores.
Primary Responsibilities:
Make sales calls to Home Depot’s executive management and present strategic solutions to grow business in stores nationwide.
Conduct Product Line Review presentations on all flooring solutions.
Develop and maintain relationships with Home Depot’s corporate and operations level management and sales staff to drive sales and optimize product placement.
Analyze the Home Depot flooring business for gaps and opportunities. Work with internal Shaw staff including R&D and marketing to meet business gaps. Prepare and present strategic solutions to capture and grow market share.
Prepare product forecast and budgets.
Implement, develop, and manage assigned Home Depot programs including samples, promotions, and communication of these programs.
Oversee account management support activities.
Facilitate credit, claims, inventory, and pricing issues.
Plan travel in advance to accomplish department goals and grow the business.
Work with Home Depot’s management to help Shaw become the distinguished supplier of choice.
Clear understanding of Shaw’s internal/external procedures and the ability to work on cross functional strategic teams.
Position Requirements:
4-year degree
A minimum of 3 years of sales experience or 5 years of experience in the flooring industry.
Experience creating and presenting strategic sales solutions
Ability to develop and execute key strategies
Must possess strong leadership, motivational, and presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to build strong customer/vendor relationships.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Overnight travel required, up to 25%
Preferred Skills:
Experience presenting strategic sales solutions to senior level business leaders
Direct Sales experience to Home Centers or National Accounts
