Job Details
We are looking for a skilled Data Center Construction Project Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of data center construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in managing large-scale, mission-critical facilities, with a focus on precision, adherence to strict timelines, and ensuring operational continuity and security standards. This role requires technical expertise in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems, strong organizational skills, and experience managing both subcontractors and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Design Coordination:
Develop detailed project plans, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation, to guide the entire construction process.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure that design and construction plans align with project requirements and data center specifications.
Coordinate design reviews, ensuring the accuracy and quality of MEP system installations, structural elements, and IT infrastructure readiness.
Budget & Cost Management:
Establish and monitor project budgets, tracking and controlling costs to ensure projects stay within financial guidelines.
Approve expenses, negotiate contracts with suppliers, and manage procurement to optimize costs without compromising on quality.
Prepare and present regular budget and progress reports to senior management, highlighting variances and corrective actions.
Regulatory Compliance & Safety:
Ensure strict compliance with data center industry standards, local building codes, and relevant environmental regulations.
Oversee all safety protocols on-site, working closely with safety officers to conduct regular inspections and enforce compliance with OSHA standards.
Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize project delays, quality issues, and safety incidents.
Project Execution & Quality Control:
Lead daily site operations, overseeing subcontractors and coordinating the work of MEP and structural teams to ensure project milestones are met.
Implement rigorous quality control processes to ensure construction meets design specifications, client standards, and data center industry requirements.
Conduct final inspections, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems and critical infrastructure to ensure operational readiness.
