Morristown Veterans Administration outpatient clinic in Morristown, TN is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to our veteran population. This role involves managing comprehensive primary care services including prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care. Average daily patient volume is 10-12 patients per day in a multidisciplinary team environment. You'll work in a team setting with 2 other physicians, 1 nurse practitioner, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and support staff assigned to provide care for our veterans. No APP supervision required. Flexible work schedule and no call expected.
Duties:
- Develop & implement individualized patient care plans, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, and chronic disease management.
- Conduct routine examinations and screenings, interpreting results to inform patients of care plans.
- Coordinate with specialists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of electronic medical records.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives per VA healthcare standards.
- Engage in team-based care, collaborating with nurses, social workers, and other healthcare staff.
