Seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (Balance/Fall oriented)

Hours: Monday through Friday 8am – 5pm (No Weekends) Location: Hilton Head, South Carolina

We are in search of a Balance/Fall oriented Physical Therapist Assistant to add to our team. We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated PTA who will help with managing the caseload of the Physical Therapist.  The therapist would be expected to treat all out-patient diagnoses but would lean more heavily into the neuro/balance/fall caseload.

Our approach is patient centered which will allow you quality patient time a caseload ratio of 10-12 patients per day. (45-minute treatment blocks).

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Evaluate the physical capabilities and limitations of patients.
• Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and home exercise programs.
• Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and promote interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Must have graduated from an accredited Physical Therapist school.
• CPR certification.
• Balance Care: Proficient in addressing individual unique patient needs.
• Strong clinical reasoning and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in addition to collaborating in a team environment.
• Commitment to patient-centered care with empathy and professionalism.
• Prior experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not required.
