We are seeking a Security System Programming and Commissioning Specialist to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business Unit. As part of (SES) Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, it systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets.
Responsibilities:As a Security Systems Programming and Commissioning Specialist, you will be a key member in the delivery of electronic security installation projects. You should understand how to interpret drawings and programming sheets. You should be able to configure devices to behave as specified. You should be able to troubleshoot issues in the field and resolve them to pass acceptance testing.
- Essential Responsibilities and Activities Include but are Not Limited to:
- Pretest electronic security equipment before deploying to the field.
- Perform quality audit of security drawings prior to starting installation activities.
- Perform site surveys of customer sites and document conditions in Bluebeam.
- Configure field devices including:
- Applying IP addresses to cameras
- Uploading firmware to access control boards
- Uploading configuration files to Cisco switches
- Using access control software to configure door access control devices
- Troubleshoot security field devices including cameras, access-controlled doors, network switches.
- Markup drawings with bluebeam.
- Update programming sheets with device configuration data.
- Lead system commissioning activities with customer’s testing agent.
- Support multiple project tasks concurrently.
- Experience working in a data center is a plus.
- Software House CCure certification is a plus.
Clearance/Citizen Type: No Clearance Required
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have at least the following education and years of relevant experience:
- High school plus 8+ yrs of experience
- Bachelor's degree plus 2+yrs of experience
- Master's degree plus 0 yrs of experience
- Must have security installation experience to include access control and video systems.
- Must have basic knowledge of IP network configuration.
Specific position requirements are as follows:
- Position will be on-site, based in Phoenix, Arizona.
- Must have flexibility to commute to project sites.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel to other site locations to assist on surveys, commissioning, and troubleshooting support is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with wiring panels, testing devices, and troubleshooting systems is a plus.
