Overview:The Security Supervisor reports to the Security Manager. In this role, you will assist the Security Manager. This position operates under direct supervision and mentorship of the Security Manager. The Security Supervisor will be responsible for protecting the RICC and visitors, staff and vendors on a 24-hour, 7 day per week basis.
This role will pay a hourly wage of $18.00 - $22.00.

About the Venue:Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Providence, the RICC is within walking distance to restaurants, hotels, shops, art galleries, night clubs, museums and more. We offer 100,000 square feet of exhibition space, 20,000 square feet of ballroom space, 23 meeting rooms, and 30,000 square feet of pre-function space.
Responsibilities:- Supervises full time and part time Security Officers
- Monitors and operates closed circuit surveillance, access control and fire alarm systems.
- Vets all visitors/contractors, verifies appropriate credentials and prevents unauthorized access to the premises.
- Patrols all properties as required and ensures, in a friendly and professional manner, the security of employees, contracted building partners and visitors.
- Detects and resolves immediate safety and criminal issues; responds to the scene of an incident and acts as an emergency first responder if required.
- Acts as property first responder to alarms, medical calls, property damage, etc.
- Maintains absolute confidentiality on sensitive issues.
- Maintains accurate notes and log information as required; ensures that all pass-on information is communicated to the next shift.
- Completes all activity logs, incident reports, repair forms and other documents in a clear, concise, and legible format in a timely, efficient manner.
- Performs person and package/parcel screening according to policies and procedures.
- Conducts detailed internal investigations into incidents and provides detailed, objective reports for each shift or incident.
- Attends briefing and training sessions to ensure complete knowledge of policies and upcoming events.
- Greet all clients, employees, guests, and vendors in a professional manner.
- Follows established security protocols and procedures at all times.
- Represents the company in a positive and professional manner at all times.

- Min 2+ years of experience in a security functions
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to work weekends and holidays
- Ability to climb stairs, walk and stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 25 unaided.
- Ability to prioritize tasks & work in a fast paced environment.
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow written instruction
- Ability to manage time efficiently
- Ability to work well unsupervised
- Ability to bend, reach, pull, twist, and lift a variety of objects.
