**Position Summary**
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for executing the day-to-day operations of the Grant PUD security program. A Security Specialist 1 plays a critical role in maintaining operational efficiency and security within Grant PUD. They are Responsible for monitoring various systems, including surveillance cameras, access controls, alerts, and communication channels. Security Specialist 1 is the first line of defense in identifying and responding to incidents.
**Essential Functions**

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
+ Acts as the primary point of contact for security related requests and questions for the service area assigned.
+ Responds to security incidents in the assigned service area. Coordinate with local law enforcement to provide documentation and evidence as needed.
+ Assists in the implementation of various security procedures surrounding the Utility's access control procedures; administers and operates the Utilities 'credentialing and Electronic Access Control badge system for all personnel on and off site.
+ Disburses Utility's keys, access codes, locks etc.; ensures the appropriate security measures are taken and given according to the right of least privilege and in accordance with the Access Control Policy.
+ Demonstrates a thorough understanding and knowledge of the Utility's Security Systems; effectively communicates with field technicians, staff, and engineers to troubleshoot security issues and provide successful solutions.
+ Monitors the physical access to Critical Infrastructure Protected access areas; performs critical procedures to keep the Utility Compliant with regulations; provides training and guidance to personnel regarding access and maintains evidentiary documentation that supports the security standards in place.
+ Accomplish multiple security related day to day tasks; coordinate security for customer programs; manage access profiles, and consistently be working to enhance the Utility's security standards.
+ Demonstrated commitment to Grant PUD's mission, vision, values, strategic plan, and Grant PUD / IBEW Local 77 Code of Excellence. The incumbent should be familiar with these organizational priorities and behave in a way that aligns with these expectations.
+ Understand and adhere to compliance requirements for this position that may include laws, regulations, security guidelines, Grant PUD policies & procedures.
+ Actively participate in all aspects of our safety program,
+ Following all safety policies and procedures.
+ Alerting supervisors and coworkers to unsafe or hazardous working conditions.
+ Reporting any safety incidents or close calls within 24 hours to your supervisor.
+ Accepting feedback from supervisors and coworkers regarding your own safety performance.
**Education and Experience**
**Required**
+ 2 or more years of security, military, or Law Enforcement experience.
+ High School Degree or GED.
**License and Certification**
**Required**
+ A valid State driver's license with no restrictions.
**Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
+ Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
+ Proficiency in using computer systems and surveillance software.
+ Capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
**Physical Requirements**
+ Position may be eligible for hybrid work arrangement: ???Yes ???No
+ Majority of work is performed in a standard office setting.
+ Will perform work onsite at the locations of the assigned Business Units
+ May be required to come onsite at EHQ or the HOB for in person team meetings
