Summary:
This position is located in High Threat Programs Directorate (HTP), Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS), Department of State (DoS).
In this position, you will support the Regional Security Office (RSO) by performing services in handling the safe removal of unexploded ordnance, improvised explosive devices, post blast exploitation, chemical munitions, and any other explosive hazards that may impact diplomatic or consular properties.

This is a non-status, non-permanent Personal Service Contract (PSC) position. PSC’s do not acquire a competitive or excepted service status from this position. Contract is 1 year; renewable up to 4 years.

Qualifications:
Applicants must meet all the qualification requirements described below by the closing date of this announcement.
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Experience assisting with clearing explosive contaminated properties.
Experience identifying and assessing device conditions for potential chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear threats.
Experience in the use and maintenance of tools and equipment used in rendering safe of hazardous types of munitions or explosive devices.
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-13 position.
