Summary:
This position is assigned to the Facilities Protection Division (FPD), Office of Overseas Protective Operations (OPO), International Programs Directorate (IP), Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS).
In this position, you will serve as a Desk Officer with responsibility for providing policy guidance and management oversight of local guard, and surveillance detection programs and local bodyguard operations that provide security for U.S. government employees and dependents at overseas post.

This is a non-status, non-permanent Personal Service Contract (PSC) position. PSC’s do not acquire a competitive or excepted service status from this position. Contract is 1 year; renewable up to 4 years.

Qualifications:
Applicants must meet all the qualification requirements described below by the closing date of this announcement.
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Experience preparing financial plans and projects financial needs based on resource trends and availability.
- Experience conducting program management reviews to identify security risks and vulnerabilities.
- Experience developing and implementing security policies for overseas security programs.
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-13 position.
