Security Solutions Manager - Beacon Communications

Job Function/Purpose:

The Security Solutions Manager is a blended role of operational, design, and sales support. The Solutions Manager serves as the primary subject matter expert for the company within the area of expertise, and assures the appropriate solutions align with our client needs. The Solutions Manager drives the definition for our security technical solutions and is the primary source of engagement management and solution design for each opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Articulating the business and technical value of our solutions and products to customers, senior managers, and technical decision makers.

2. Positioning our security solutions in competitive scenarios to achieve success.

3. Own and drive security solution strategy and design for the region.

4. Remove barriers and motivate teams to achieve success.

5. Responsible for the development of competitive cost cases for complex opportunities which will meet the customer's requirements.

6. Facilitate and coordinate regular technology refresh sessions for our sales/estimating/engineering staff to insure our employees maintain the appropriate solutions expertise for achieving success.

7. Support the internal transitional process for new projects moving from sales to operations.

8. Be available to provide support to sales, operational, and service staff in time of need.

9. Responsible for maintaining a manufacturer relationship, and understanding the latest solution

offerings.

10. Project Management for key accounts if needed

The Security Solutions Manager will be accountable to the General Manager. Secondary accountability will be to the VP of Sales.

Job Qualifications:

• This is partly a client facing job role. Solutions Managers will spend 40% to 50% of their time in face-to-face discussions with our clients.
• The Solution Manager must possess a minimum of 10 years of industry specific experience within the area of solutions expertise.
• Must be capable of engaging in physical security discussions in effort to achieve the best solutions for our customers, both internally and externally.
• Must be willing to participate in continuing education for your area of expertise for continuing industry specific education.

Specific Qualifications:

1. Must be Lenel, Milestone, or Software House certified.
2. Must have knowledge of design and implementation of Security Systems (Access Control, CCTV and Intrusion).
3. Must be able to perform pre-construction needs assessments to determine the best solution within our product line.
4. Must be able to understand and assist with implementation and training for customers.
5. Must be able to engage in technical conversations with end users and design consultants as a trusted advisor.

Travel:

It is expected that this position will require a moderate amount (25% 35%) of travel, as needed.

5. Proficiency in the use of personal computers including such programs as MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook
6. Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing and implementing skills which allow the successful completion of a project by a specific due date
7. Valid and current drivers license

Essential Functions:

• Requires prolonged sitting, standing, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination for data input.
• Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 30 pounds.
• Must maintain a clear background check to satisfy customer jobsite badging requirements.
• Must be willing to submit to all vaccinations and screening tests required for customer jobsite badging protocol.

• Although most work is performed inside, occasional outside activities are subject to seasonal temperature fluctuations.

• Reaching, grasping and carrying activities also required including ability to navigate a construction job-site.

• Maintain a clear drug and alcohol screening protocol.
