SECURITY SHIFT MANAGER-OMAHA
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
The Security Shift Manager is responsible efficient daily operation of the security department in accordance with the property’s established policies, procedures, and controls to ensure guest, team member safety and protect company assets. Pay starting at $25/hour
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Practices, supports, and maintains the Mission, Vision and Values of WarHorse Gaming Omaha, LLC.
• Assists in the planning, implementation and evaluation of the security operations and the coordination of its programs with other departments.
• Ensures that all security reports are submitted in a timely manner.
• Assists in the assignment of Security staff to various locations according to job requirements and the officers’ abilities, skills, and experience.
• Observes in performance of duties to evaluate efficiency and to detect and correct inefficient work practices.
• Ensures all applicable laws, rules and regulations of the company are firmly and fairly enforced.
• Leads investigations.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state and company rules and regulations.
• Implements departmental and procedures and trains, schedules, supervises and evaluates security officers on assigned shift.
• Identifies and controls risks and threats to the safety and assets of the company patrons and team members.
• Patrols property identifying potential security and or safety issues.
• Assists in ensuring the safety and protection of guests, team members and the entire facility.
• Maintains staffing levels within the security department and is instrumental in interviewing, training, scheduling, evaluating and disciplining team members as needed and instills an atmosphere that encourages team members to thrive and succeed.
• Ensures effective recruitment, hiring, training, recognition, coaching and counseling and other personnel related matters are being handled appropriately.
• Facilitates performance review process.
• Detains persons for probable cause for the purpose of notifying law enforcement and/or state gaming officials.
• Controls and maintains company-wide key controls throughout the property while on duty.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Associate degree in related field; or equivalent work experience.
• Five (5) years casino security experience, three (3) years in a supervisor/management capacity.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Previous experience in a casino resort preferred.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Travel is not required for this position
WORK HOURS:
Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Team members must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Is this position responsible for selling, serving, or distributing alcoholic beverages or do they have comp authority? No
Gaming License Required? Ability to secure and maintain NE Gaming License.
Other Certifications? CPR Certification, Driver’s License
