WE LOVE OUR WORK.:Hollywood Casino Kansas Speedway is currently looking for a Security Shift Manager to join the team.
Schedule: 11pm - 7:30am Tuesday - Saturday
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide friendly, fast, and helpful customer service, through the consistent practice and delivery of Red Carpet Customer Service to all guests and team members.
- Oversee all security operations. includes security in the casino, in parking lots as well as off-site facilities.
- Ensure that all procedures are followed by officers as outlined in the internal controls and state gaming board regulations.
- Provide work direction for Security Officers.
- Fills out daily work rosters and assign job areas for all applicable security team members.
- Prepares monthly schedules and makes certain adequate personnel are scheduled each day to provide security at mandatory posts.
- Handle emergency situations, such as disorderly patrons, medical emergencies, violations of gaming laws, and intoxicated patrons.
- Conduct required safety and emergency equipment checks and safety drills.
- Review security reports.
- Forward reports to appropriate personnel.
- investigate violations of company policies and procedures and gaming laws; write detailed reports.
- Act as interdepartmental liaison during his/her shift.
- Exclude patrons from property when appropriate.
- Assign and apportion work to be done among team members.
- Plan, supervise and manage work processes and determine effective techniques or processes to be used by team members in the course of business.
- Conduct individual or group pre-shift meetings with team members and provide daily feedback.
- Supervise and manage the work processes or procedures of team members.
- Provide for the safety of team members, including keeping areas clean and free of safety hazards, debris and litter and performing all job duties in a safe and responsible manner. - Understand and adhere to regulatory, department and company policies and procedures.
- Transfer Table Games fills and credits.
- Provide escorts as needed.
- Testify in court when necessary.
- interview, select and train new team members.
- Understand and adhere to disciplinary policies including but not limited to counseling team members and the use of progressive discipline.
- Effectively use, administer and manage rewards and recognition for team members.
- Recommend or oppose the change in status of team members including but not limited to changes from full time to part time, promotions, and transfers.
- Supervise and manage attendance and time records of team members.
- Effectively and efficiently manage labor costs and staffing objectives while achieving guest satisfaction.
- Understand and adhere to bargaining unit agreements.
- Perform other related and compatible duties as assigned.
- Make determinations regarding types of materials, supplies, or tools to be used.
- Protect and preserve assets of the company.
- Understand and adhere to all bargaining unit agreements.
- Meet grooming and appearance requirements.

- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Associate's degree from two-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience - three to
- Five years casino security and/or law enforcement experience preferred
- Two years of supervisory experience preferred
- Must be proficient in Microsoft applications
- Effective communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
- Ability to display professionalism - Strong leadership, supervisory and interpersonal skills
- Effective analytical skills as demonstrated in timely and appropriate issue resolution
- Must be able to run on level surfaces, as well as up and down stairs - Must have valid driver’s license and acceptable driving history as determined by Penn National Gaming auto insurance carrier.
