Security Service Technician with Security Clearance - JRC

About the Job
Join JRC's Maritime & Security Team! We are actively searching for a talented Security Service Technician to provide daily on-site support for physical security and telecommunication systems for the Department of Navy (DON) facility at the Washington Navy Yard.
You will be a part of JRC's Facilities Engineering team providing a breadth of support services including Facilities Sustainment and New projects.
As a Security Service Technician with JRC, you will:
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion Detection systems.
• Handle security device installations (e.g., Card Readers, Cameras, BMS, REX).
• Work with structured cabling, including fiber optics.
• Troubleshoot electrified locks (e.g., maglocks).
• Service Lenel OnGuard AECS, DMP IDS, and Milestone XProtect VMS.
• Install and maintain high-security locks (Lockmaster LKM, Kaba Mas CDX).
• Interface with customers for routine and special projects.
• Conduct bi-annual IDS tests and complete detailed documentation.
• Perform technical commissioning and quality control audits.
• Support day-to-day maintenance and emergency service calls.
• Understand and apply electrical basics, including Ohm's Law.
What you bring to the table...
• Education: A High School Diploma/GED.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in Access Control and Intrusion Detection.
• Security Clearance: An active DoD Security Clearance at the SECRET level (or above), with the ability to obtain at TOP SECRET SCI
• Demonstrated experience with commercial and DoD installations.
• Vendor certification for Lenel OnGuard and DMP systems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
• Ability to interpret detailed drawings.
• Physical Demands:
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Use hands for various tasks; stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Use ladders and man lift equipment.
• Specific vision abilities required
