L.A. LIVE is a vibrant 4 million square foot entertainment destination located in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. Job Summary:

The Security Officer (CSU) will provide safety, security, and customer service to the guests, tenants, vendors, and employees of the L.A. LIVE campus, tenants, guests, and co-workers. The Officer will also assist local public safety agencies as needed to accomplish the safety and security goals of AEG. CSU Officers are required to work during the evening and high campus activity periods, including special events. The CSU Team's primary purpose is to provide L.A. LIVE with an elevated incident response team capable of de-escalating difficult situations. CSU Training provides officers with training in such skills as crowd management, de-escalation techniques, aggressive behavior management, self-defense, and detainment techniques. The focus of all this training is Officer and Guest Safety. It is very important that all officers carefully consider these training requirements prior to applying.

Essential Functions:

• Serve as a representative and liaison of L.A. LIVE, while demonstrating a professional, positive, polite and friendly attitude. Tact and discretion must always be used in all interactions with campus guests and employees.
• Patrol campus on bicycle in some cases in and surrounding the facility.
• Respond quickly to all security needs and calls for service.
• Provide customer service to all patrons and employees.
• Interview victims and witnesses.
• Respond to crime scenes and ensure the scene is secured until the arrival of local law enforcement.
• Conduct simple misdemeanor crime investigations.
• Maintain safe and secure environment surrounding the venue.
• Work closely with local public safety agencies to accomplish the safety and security goals of AEG.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency.
• Minimum of 1 years of related work experience.
• Must possess a valid California Guard Card.
• Fluency in written and spoken English. Must be able to communicate via a two-way radio in English.
• Ability to maintain patron, employee, and company confidentiality.
• Ability to memorize, recollect, and quickly retrieve relevant information for incidents.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended time periods.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours.
• Ability to ride a bicycle.
• Able to lift, carry, and/or move up to 50 pounds, as needed.
• Availability to work Thursday-Sunday, 1500-0300 hours (minimal requirement).
• Must be available to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):

• AVADE training
• Handcuffing training
• Bicycle training

Pay Scale: $23.38

Sign-on Bonus for Applicant: $250.00

You shall receive a one-time sign-on bonus in the amount of $250.00, less any applicable taxes and withholdings, payable thirty (30) days after your hire date. In the event you resign within one (1) year following your hire date or are terminated for cause within one (1) year following your hire date, you shall repay to Company the full $250.00 bonus.

Referral Bonus: L.A. Live Full-Time Security Officer- $150.00

Payable to L.A. LIVE Properties, LLC employees in Operations, Security, and Engineering if they are not part of the hiring process.

Referral bonuses will be paid to the L.A. LIVE employee who refers an applicant for L.A. LIVE Security Officer or L.A. LIVE Supervisor, who is selected and successfully hired.  The referral bonus will be payable thirty (30) days after the new employee completes 30 days of employment.  The employee referral bonus program period will be August 7, 2023-December 31, 2024. Only referrals made during these dates will be eligible for a referral bonus. The end date of the referral program is subject to evaluation by the Company and will be communicated with notice to all employees. New applicants must list the name of the referring employee on the application prior to submission to qualify for a referral bonus.
