POSITION SUMMARY:
The position of Security Officer is expected to provide a reasonable, safe and secure environment for all who enter San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital properties and to assure the physical security of buildings and grounds. It is expected that the Security Officer will demonstrate behavior consistent with the San Gorgonio Memorial Hospitals' core values and mission statement.
Adheres to the Security Department dress code policy at all times.

REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
High School Graduate highly preferred. Completion of college level education courses in criminal justice preferred. Completion of workplace training within 6 months of hire and annually thereafter. Required on-going education in your field.
Licensure:
Current state issued Security Officer license, if applicable, showing no disciplinary actions on the licensing board.
Current Driver’s License issued by the state of California with a satisfactory DMV report.
Current proof of driving insurance, insurance must be kept current, at all times.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Heart Savers Certificate from the American Heart Association.
Experience:
4-5 years of healthcare Security experience or 4-5 years of security experience in the hospitality industry, or prior military or law enforcement experience.
IAHSS - International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (Basic Training), preferred and required within 6 months of hire.
FEMA-IS-100-Intro to Incident Command certificate preferred and required within 6 months of hire.
FEMA-IS-200-ICS for single resources certificate preferred and required within 6 months of hire.
FEMA-IS-700-National Incident Management System certificate preferred and required within 6 months of hire.
PAY / BENEFITS • Estimated pay: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour based on qualifications (including but not limited to experience, education, certifications, and licensure where applicable). • Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D, optional supplemental life (employee, spouse, and/or child coverage), flexible spending accounts (medical and dependent care), 403b retirement with dollar for dollar match up to 5%, paid time off, and more available depending on employment status. |
