SOSi is seeking a Security Manager to join our team supporting our operations in Reston, VA.
Essential Job Duties
- Acts as a liaison between the company and multiple customer agencies for status checks and submission of required security documentation.
- Prepares and submits e-QIP case files for initial personnel security investigations and periodic reinvestigations.
- Gives advice and assistance to employees preparing security documents via e-QIP.
- Prepares and submits derogatory information reports.
- Uses multiple internal and government security databases to include DISS.
- Performs oversight of personnel security processes to include quality control in the processing of all employees, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Issue security badges for access to the facility.
Minimum Requirements
- Active in scope Secret clearance for access to classified information.
- Associate's degree in related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in the Industrial Security field or related position.
- Experienced in handling personal and confidential information and show a strong orientation for customer service and organization.
- Understanding of U.S. Government suitability requirements.
- Must possess a customer focus, tactful attitude, and attention to detail.
- Possess experience in industrial security and basic knowledge of the National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM).
- Experience with the use of DISS and e-QIP are a must.
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and staff management skills.
- Strong communication skills in both verbal and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (MS word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in related field.
- Experience with DHS suitability process is preferred.
Work Environment
- Working conditions as normal for an office environment with 3 days in the office with 2 days optional remote work.
- Ability to travel for extended period during mobilization, then periodic travel over the life of the contract.
- Ability to work non-traditional hours including consecutive nights and weekends when necessary; shift work required.
- Ability to work efficiently under deadlines and pressure.
- Ability to keep up in a fast-paced environment.
