Security guard/clerical office position
Responsibilities
Security guard desk person will be responsible for the following.
+ Checking credentials on all that enter the facility, this includes all deliveries, visitors, contractor and truckdrivers.
+ Maintaining the database with all information on each person for entry and tracking and following policies and procedures to maintain and keep secure refinery information.
+ Desk guard will hold a license with LSBPSE for unarmed guards, along with the training courses and a license with the LA dept of agricultural to operate a certified scale used to weigh in and out trucks loading/unloading products such as, Isobutane, slurry, oxygen etc.
+ Will be trained to use and monitor all facility cameras and surveillance equipment.
+ Will be trained to follow Coast Guard Regulations pertaining to the refinery, as well as maintain written records and documentation in compliance with Homeland Security and TWIC procedures.
+ You will be trained to badge in all contractors entering the facility to work and confirm credentials such as, DISA, OSHA, TWIC and refinery sites. This includes docks and warehouse deliveries.
+ Maintain daily logs, answer phones and radios.
+ Will be trained for emergencies including notifying outside agencies when necessary as well as using the in-plant PA system.
Qualifications
This position is a night rotating shift position and requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Job experience and computer skills are a plus. Primary job functions require decision making skills and exercising applied learned procedures to solve routine daily shift issues and a mature and positive attitude handling the public.
