Job Description:
We are seeking a Security Engineering Manager to lead our dynamic team in safeguarding our organization's assets and ensuring the protection of our clients and employees. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, a proactive mindset, and a strong commitment to upholding security standards and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Security Engineering team, overseeing the implementation and enforcement of security policies and processes.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Take charge of recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions for team members.
- Collaborate with the Information Security team to develop and maintain comprehensive security strategies.
- Manage and maintain Information Security systems architecture and operations.
- Act as a liaison with development teams to ensure security considerations are integrated throughout the application development lifecycle.
- Conduct rule tuning and optimization for various security systems, including Centralized Logging, Intrusion Detection, and Vulnerability Management.
- Perform risk assessments on existing and new technologies and architectures.
- Assist in managing third-party vendor relationships and oversight.
- Develop and maintain security-related documentation.
- Stay updated on emerging information security technologies and industry best practices.
- Ensure confidentiality of company, client, and employee data.
- Participate in incident response investigations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in Information Security or a related field.
- Proficiency in systems integration, web-based applications, and n-tier technologies.
- Familiarity with ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR, and other relevant regulations.
- Understanding of software development lifecycles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience coordinating initiatives across multiple offices and project teams.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Attention to detail and ability to produce clear documentation.
- Experience with Agile frameworks and continuous delivery/integration.
- Demonstrated expertise in incident response and forensic analysis.
- Minimal travel required.
