Position: Security Engineer
Hybrid Schedule: Mon - Fri 9am - 6pm 4 days in office with 1 remote day after 90 days and good performance is demonstrated
Overview:
Reporting to the Sales Director, in this role you will lead their team by example with a “roll up your sleeve” approach. The ideal candidate must have staffing industry experience and enjoy coaching new hires as well as keeping top billers motivated! They will have the opportunity to become a subject matter expert in their team’s physician specialty by working directly on recruiting and sales development initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of IT, this position is integral in driving our security initiatives while ensuring that SLAs are met and striving for a near 100% satisfaction rating among stakeholders. Additionally, the role contributes to generating documentation and supports ongoing compliance efforts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Security Architecture & Implementation
- Design, configure, and manage Palo Alto Firewalls, including VPN tunnel configuration, SSL Inspection, and policy controls.
- Implement and manage ZScaler solutions, including ZIA, ZPA, and ZDX, to secure cloud and on-premises environments.
- Utilize Varonis for monitoring and securing M365 and Salesforce environments.
- Deploy and manage Crowdstrike solutions, including EDR, Overwatch, Exposure Management, and CSPM, to protect against advanced threats.
Compliance & Governance
- Develop and enforce data governance policies and practices across the organization.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, or SOX.
- Conduct regular audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
Application Security & IAM
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) processes and tools to ensure secure user authentication and authorization.
Project Management
- Lead security projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
- Work closely with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
Enterprise Networking
- Provide expert guidance on enterprise networking security, including the design and implementation of secure network architectures.
- Continuously monitor network traffic and security events to identify and respond to potential threats.
Continuous Learning
- Stay current with the latest security technologies, threats, and industry trends.
- Mentor and train junior engineers and other IT staff on security best practices.
Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in security engineering, with a focus on security and compliance in enterprise environments.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Master’s degree is a plus.
Certifications:
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are highly desirable.
Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong project management abilities with a track record of leading successful security projects.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
