About the Job
- Provides support and expertise in maintaining security-based compliance documents
- Uses software development security principles, concepts, and best practices for developing and implementing information assurance and security policy and procedures
- Utilizes strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve cybersecurity related issues, findings
- Stays adept and abreast of current standards, practices, procedures, and common bodies of knowledge approaches for information assurance and security as well as system security
- Articulates complex concepts both written and verbally with management and customers
- Understands systems and network architecture
- Organizes and coordinates technical Vulnerability Assessments including systems and network vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and web application assessments
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with FISMA activities, including system security plans, change management, contingency plans, incident response plans, configuration management plans, security control requirements and assessments, Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M), and training requirements
- Experience with applying NIST SP 800-37 Risk Management principles, interpreting requirements, and developing implementation guidance
- Experience with implementing requirements and guidance and analyzing policies, procedures, guidance, standards, and instructional materials
- Experience in working with interagency teams to design, develop, and implement FISMA compliant solutions that meet current and future business requirements and enhance and optimize the existing security architecture
- Knowledge of Federal Privacy requirements, including Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and personally identifiable information (PII)
- Possession of good oral and written communication skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
