- Respond to routine inquiries and process visitor access requests
- Conduct research queries on the NCIC National Crime Information Center (NCIC/NCCIC) workstation terminal(s)
- Maintain access control equipment and automated systems
- Provide timely responses to inquiries and requests
- Control, prepare, issue identification badges, cards, and passes
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of security guidelines and procedures, including access control and visitor management
- Ability to apply security regulations and directives to resolve complex problems
- Skill in operating a personal computer to produce a variety of documents and respond to inquiries
- Ability to research and analyze data from various sources to provide accurate and timely information
- Knowledge of NCIC/NCCIC workstation terminal(s) and ability to conduct research queries
- Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records, including visitor control rosters and badges accountability logs
- Skill in communicating effectively with various stakeholders, including military and civilian personnel, contractors, and visitors
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of automated systems and equipment, including access control and identification badge systems

Requirements:
- One year of specialized experience in security guidelines and procedures, or equivalent education
- Ability to obtain and sustain state certification for operating the NCIC terminals within 6 months of employment
- Proficiency in typing 40 words per minute with three or fewer errors
- Ability to work shift work, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
