SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Assistant to support a Department of Defense (DoD) contract. The ideal candidate will provide administrative security support to the Joint Service Support Office (JSSO) in the following disciplines: INFOSEC, PERSEC, PHYSEC, COMSEC, InT, and Foreign Disclosure.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide administrative security support in compliance with DoD regulations.
- Oversee INFOSEC, PERSEC, PHYSEC, COMSEC, InT, and Foreign Disclosure programs.
- Ensure the secure handling and storage of classified information.
- Conduct security training and awareness programs for staff.
- Perform security audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks.
- Maintain and update security documentation and records.
- Coordinate with government agencies and contractors to ensure compliance with security requirements.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience in INFOSEC, PERSEC, PHYSEC, COMSEC, InT, or Foreign Disclosure.
- Must possess a Top-Secret clearance and be SCI eligible.
- Additional training may be required by the Government.
- Working knowledge of U.S. Government Security Programs.
- Strong understanding of DoD security regulations and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficient in using security management software and tools.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and supervise activities for extended periods.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- This position is subject to both indoor office envrionments and outdoor environments with varying weather and temperatures.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:
As a condition of employment, must pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results.
