Duties & Responsibilities:
- The Security and Administrative Specialist (SAS) shall develop and maintain current and future databases for tracking, monitoring, and status accounting of personnel training, and support leadership with training trend analysis.
- The Security and Administrative Specialist shall create and review briefing and presentation materials for Government Materials shall include security metrics, trends, issues, areas of concerns, updates, and actions.
- The Security and Administrative Specialist shall create, review, edit, format, and update new and existing materials and documents [e.g. local job aids Reference Cards, guides, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), presentations, checklists, memos].
- The Security and Administrative Specialist shall coordinate and conduct training to the This support includes collecting attendance records, scheduling, compiling and reviewing materials. The Security and Administrative Specialist shall review, develop, and provide feedback on current and future training and publication materials (e.g. local weekly publications, annual workforce refresher training, and workforce classes).
- The Security and Administrative Specialist shall maintain records of security This includes generating and reviewing reports, supporting documentation, and gathering information.
- The SAS shall review and provide feedback on records management and classification activities at NSWC PHD, WSMR, and other identified locations as defined in regulations and instructions to ensure Government information is accurately handled, correctly sanitized, archived, and digitized according to governing policies and regulations.
- The SAS shall develop and maintain current and future command instructions, policies, agreements, and memorandums of agreement/understanding.
- The SAS shall maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that define business support (e.g., requirements management and requirements traceability, management and tracking, definition of done, ) in the Government document repository.
- The SAS shall provide support for This support includes planning, coordination gathering of training materials, and generation and review of documents.
- The SAS shall maintain configuration control at all stages of document generation and
- The SAS shall develop, review, analyze, and provide feedback on current and future programs and initiatives [e.g. Information Security (INFOSEC), Personnel Security (PERSEC), Physical Security (PHYSEC), Operation Security (OPSEC), Continuity of Operations (COOP), Emergency Management (EM), and Anti- Terrorism Force Protection (ATFP) ] program requirements to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
- The SAS shall assist with reviewing various documents (e.g. instructions, notices, critical information lists (CIL), and critical information (CI) cards). The SAS shall provide feedback documenting findings and corrective courses of action.
- The SAS shall provide customer service on an array of Security-related topics (e.g. clean desk policy, Security Frequently Asked Questions guide, Quick Reference guides, and other security related training materials).
- The SAS shall create and maintain a Customer Point of Contact
- The SAS shall perform miscellaneous and administrative support functions as directed by their site lead.
- The SAS shall develop and maintain desk guides, standard operating procedures, and instructions to satisfy compliance and regulatory requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
- The SAS must have the knowledge, skill and abilities to maintain security protocols and OPSEC guidance.
- Security classification guide implementation, marking of classified information, and procedures associated with handling, control, access, and safeguarding of such information.
Minimum/General Experience:
- The SAS requires strong task management, excellent communication (written and verbal) skills, and providing a high level of customer services with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft products.
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university and one year of experience in the security
- Allowable Substitution: High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) with five years' relevant experience.
