Paragon Systems is seeking a Security and Access Control Specialist to join our team on site on Marine Corps Base Quantico, VA. The successful candidate will provide escort support for visitors without security clearance and ensure that no inadvertent disclosure or breach of security occurs. This role is critical in maintaining the security and integrity of classified facilities. *This is a full time, award-contingent position* Key Responsibilities Include: Escort Support:
• Provide escort services for non-cleared visitors, including those attending conferences, maintenance personnel, vendors, construction teams, and other service providers in secure spaces.
• Maintain line-of-sight on all escorted personnel.
• Ensure strong situational awareness and keen observation skills to prevent security breaches. Access Control:
• Monitor entry control points, verify personnel clearances, and manage badge exchange to ensure only authorized personnel have access to secure areas/SCIF.
• Verify clearances via Defense Information System for Security (DISS), Scattered Castles, or other authorized systems.
• Issue visitor and temporary badges, fill out visitor logs, validate Information System Authorization Access Requests, and update access rosters.
• Submit and track IT helpdesk tickets for the SCI network.
• Report security incidents to the Client Security Division.
• Screen incoming/outgoing documents and packages to ensure compliance with Client policies.
• Conduct random anti-terrorism measure (RAM) inspections and utilize Client’s Intrusion Detection System (IDS) and alarm station.
• Conduct and complete end-of-day checklists, turnovers with the Client Headquarter Staff Duty Officer (HSDO), and open/close the Davis Center and SCIF using FF-L-2740 Combination Locks. Work Environment:
• The role requires daily interaction within the Client Security Division and close coordination with other team members to ensure the security of the client site and its classified spaces. Job Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• U.S. citizenship preferred
• Current Active Top Secret/SCI clearance
• Basic computing skills
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple contingencies.
• Previous security escort experience at DoD or government-controlled/classified facilities.
• Strong situational awareness and observation skills.
• Familiarity with Intrusion Detection Systems and other security equipment is a plus. What We Offer:
