Responsibilities
**Position Summary:**
Primary responsibility is provision of clerical support for the training center and staff. With general direction and latitude for initiative and judgement, performs routine and non-routine duties requiring advanced secretarial, data entry, and/or word processing skills and proficiency in an administrative office of an academic, educational service, business or comparable department.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Registering patients into Monroe County Data base, updating records, printing labels, and preparing of charts for patients to be seen in clinic.
+ Acknowledges the patient promptly upon his/her arrival at the registration area with professionalism and courtesy. Asks only relevant questions for registration to maintain patients’ right to privacy/confidentiality.
+ Provides oral and written instructions on clinic policy and flow. Answer patients’ questions in a non-judgmental and professional manner (person to person or via telephone).
+ Completes necessary forms efficiently and accurately. Records all necessary information on daily logs. Keep appointment module up to date. Retrieves medical records/information efficiently and accurately.
+ Routinely checks the “field records” section of database to identify priority patients. Consults with Clinic Coordinator and/or Asst. Clinic Manager to resolve patient issues and maintain clinic flow as appropriate. Ensures that daily lunch schedule is planned in the morning and coverage is appropriate. Models professionalism at all times
+ **Materials and Supplies:** Responsible for accurately distributing the quarterly medical supply order and weekly stocking of 12 exam rooms with these same supplies-monitor expiration dates (FIFO). Work directly with lab technician to ensure adequate supply of specimen collections kits and supplies. Maintain in exam rooms and order STD patient educational pamphlets when needed. Maintain study boards in exam rooms
+ **General Secretarial Duties/Other:** Unlock/lock file cabinets, performs secretarial duties for all STD staff including copying and faxing as well as assisting staff with copier and fax machine problems. Refiling and pulling of medical records and answering phones. Prepares previous day’s medical records for nurse review each morning. Works as a member of the clerical team with a positive attitude. Ensures that all duties listed on daily checklist are completed at the end of the day.
+ **Data Entry** : Enters ordered labs into insight

**Qualifications:**
+ Associate’s degree required.
+ 2-3 years experience in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
+ Word process and spreadsheet functions. Organizational skills. Attention to details. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written. preferred.

**Pay Range**
Pay Range: $15.38 - $21.54 Hourly
_The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations._
