Padua Academy, a four-year, Catholic college preparatory high school in Wilmington, Delaware, is currently seeking qualified applicants for a temporary, full-time Mathematics teacher with a focus on Statistics.
Job Summary:
This position will run from February until the end of the school year. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching mathematics, particularly in statistics, and a passion for supporting students' academic growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach multiple sections of Statistics including Honors and AP levels.
- Teach one section of Business Management.
- Implement the use of learning management systems for planning and instruction.
- Implement the use of technology (1:1 Mac program, SMART Boards, graphing calculators)
- Partner with school administration, guidance counselors, and parents to support student success
- Differentiate instruction to meet students’ learning needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Mathematics and/or Secondary Education degree in Mathematics
- Certification preferred
- Previous Mathematics teaching experience at the secondary level
- Strong communication skills
- Familiarity with technology including the use of Smartboard, TI-84 Plus CE graphing calculator, and MacBook computer
- Appreciation and understanding of the mission of Padua Academy and the ability to articulate its vision
