Introduction
Visium Resources has an immediate consulting opportunity for an SEC Reporting Analyst position with a trusted client. This position is a contract (immediate start) or potential direct hire, and will be on-site in the Maitland, FL area.
Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled SEC Reporting Analyst to play a vital role in our financial reporting team. The SEC Reporting Analyst will collaborate closely with the CFO and cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations. This position is integral to the development of reporting calendars, project plans, and the external financial reporting process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the CFO in interfacing with senior management, external auditors, and consultants regarding accounting and financial reporting issues to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.
- Assist in developing monthly and quarterly financial reporting calendars and project plans.
- Work closely with members of the CFO's Team to prepare and deliver external financial reporting, including quarterly earnings release materials and required SEC filings (10K, 10Q, 8K, annual report, proxy filing, statutory, and other miscellaneous SEC filings).
- Serve as the primary resource in managing the flow of financial data for internal and external reporting.
- Participate in the review financial activities and data to ensure they are recorded in compliance with US GAAP.
- Utilize accounting research tools to guarantee our public filings are in compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulations.
- Assist in and perform financial planning and forecasting, variance analysis and ad-hoc analysis.
- Reconcile net income to adjusted EBITDA and maintain adjustment records.
Qualified candidates would have the following:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Previous experience in financial reporting within a public company environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in SEC reporting and producing SEC documents within a public company.
- Commitment to task and ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Strong leadership, relationship management, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build credibility, trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
- Understanding of SOX controls and experience in performing controls.
- Familiarity with the audit process and responding to auditor needs.
- Strong analytical and communication skills (written and oral).
