Paxton/Patterson (PP) works to provide the best college and career preparation for America’s youth by creating learning systems that engage students with problem-based, real-world technology. PP receives an influx of career lab kit orders and general product requests during the months of May – August. We are seeking a seasonal Warehouse Associate to assist in all warehouse operations, with the potential to join our full-time staff that operates year-round!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist Lab Assembly Order associates in processing incoming orders.
- Pick and assemble lab kits with the use of a RF handheld device.
- Maintain high customer satisfaction through excellence in picking and assembling, 100% accurate.
- Verify product accuracy and quantity against order documentation.
- Inspect and ensure the quality of assembled products.
- Report any defects or issues with product components.
- Prepare orders for packaging and shipping with correct product and shipping labels.
- Keep assembly workstations organized and well-maintained.
- Assist in periodic cleaning of the warehouse to assure a neat workspace.
- Monitor and report low stock levels to warehouse supervisors.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Attend all required training and staff meetings.
- Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor towards customers, visitors, and co-workers.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures of Paxton/Patterson.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Basic problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing tasks and priorities.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move objects up to a specified weight limit as seen below
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is a plus.
